When I woke up that morning, I was wondering if Phillip would take the news well.
When I got downstairs, he was already awake and eating cake for breakfast. Wow. Then again, I haven't been promoting the HEALTHIEST eating habits lately..
I gave him a hug and told him no matter what, i'll always love him and he will always be my first born child. He knew something was up. "What is it mom?" he asked me suspiciously.
I took a deep breath. "Well.. I'm pregnant with your little brother or sister!" I said.
He smiled at the thought and patted my shoulder. "I'm excited. Hey, Mom, I've been wondering.. there's some other boys in my class who signed up for some after-school programs," he said, pointing to the school website on his computer screen, "And I was wondering if I would be allowed to sign up for one. Well, as in one I mean Scouting." He said. I thought about it for a second. Phil doesn't have many friends and I think it would be a great learning experience for him.. "Sure, that sounds great, honey." I smiled.
So, Phil signed up for his after-school Scouts program and reminded me that I had to pick him up at 5:00 PM tonight at the school. I went upstairs to watch some TV on the kids channel. I really, really want twins :)
Phil ran out the door and caught the bus just before it left without him!
I got dressed around 10 and decided to do some work around the house. I can't be raising twins in a dirty environment!
I looked out of Phil's telescope that I got him for his birthday for a while.
Tried my hand at repairing the broken sink, failed, and called a repair technician. :(
I mopped up the puddles.
I also got a call from Christopher. He asked about Phillip. "Oh yeah, he's fine. Today is his first day of school.. He's got a field trip tomorrow and I even signed him up for scouting." I say. "You're doing a great job, Elliot. Good luck with those 99 others." He said, and the line went dead. Creepy.
At 4:30 I get in my car and go to pick Phil up from Scouts.
"Mom! Guess what? I earned my first badge!!" He exclaimed as soon as I pulled up. I hugged him and said, "Great job, Phil!"
We got in the car and sped home.
I made Goopy Carbonara for dinner, my personal favorite.
Meanwhile, Phillip took a shower.
Then he did his homework.. he's such a sweet boy. If all my kids are like this, raising 100 shouldn't be much of a challenge! xD
We sat down for supper and I couldn't help but clap at the sight of my all time favorite food.
The next morning, Phil had cake for breakfast. Again. Thats it, salad for dinner tonight!
He left for school just as I woke up.
Look at how big i'm getting.
I had a shower,
Then I had cake for breakfast, too. Phil is starting to influence some bad habits on this household!
I ate all alone.. with only one kid, i'm starting to think this challenge may take a little longer then expected.
I watched a cooking show so I could make some healthier meals.
Phil rode his new bike home.
He did his homework.. (he's so good!)
And I made dinner. We seem like the picture perfect family...
He went outside to build a sandcastle before bed.
Right as I was going to sit down to a healthy salad, my water broke! I couldn't help but let out a scream.
Philip got up and had no idea what was going on. He starting screaming and he thought I was dying. He left his supper half finished and ran upstairs.
I immediately felt sorry for him as he put himself to sleep.
I called a babysitter and left for the hospital.
I probably looked kind of weird, heading into a hospital all alone. Most mothers go in with a loving husband at their side. It makes me wonder about settling down and getting married on day...
I emerge from the hospital with a little baby carrier! You know what that means.. TWINS!
Welcome to the world Alexander, who was born with the Genius and Loner traits,
and his twin brother Andrew, who was born with the Friendly and Brave traits. Welcome to the family, baby 2 and 3! :D
Awwww, they're precious! Congrats on twins!
